Welcome to the Ascento RPG Map

This guide is here to help you take your first steps in our game.

Getting Started

At the start, you will have the opportunity to choose the game’s difficulty level and one of six heroes (two heroes for each attribute). For beginners, we recommend choosing either Fighter or Tank due to their survivability, which will help you endure enemy attacks and make the early stages of the game more comfortable. Hero specifics will be described in subsequent posts. It’s crucial to start the game on easy difficulty; otherwise, your progress will be very challenging.

Gameplay

After choosing your hero, the game begins, placing you in the starting location. Your task is to kill enemies and upgrade items along your way. All items that can drop from enemies are found in their inventory (drop chance is not always 100%). There are also hidden items (artifacts) that have a low chance of dropping from bosses (drop rate calculator is available on the website Ascento RPG). Currently, there is only one artifact that increases your damage percentage-wise.

By killing enemies, your kill counter will increase (displayed on the left and right of the game time on the top panel). Once you have killed enough enemies, the indicators will turn green, and your next objective will be to kill the final game boss located in the last area. You will likely need to gather all possible equipment from previous enemies to defeat this boss. After defeating the boss, the invulnerability of the citadel beyond the boss will be removed. Destroying the citadel will reveal a reincarnation button above the hero’s portrait. Pressing this button will increase your stats, reset your items and level, and restart the game from the starting location, but it will be easier to play. After a certain number of reincarnations, you can attempt to increase the game’s difficulty. Higher difficulties grant more reincarnation points.

Infinity Location

You can also postpone your reincarnation and attempt to enter the Infinity Location. To do this, complete all the previous steps but do not press the reincarnation button. Instead, enter the portal located above the citadel. In this location, enemies will spawn with increasing difficulty as you kill them, but the drop chance for infinity modifiers will also increase. This chance depends on the game’s difficulty and enemy levels, and the calculator is also available on the website Ascento RPG.

Once you have obtained infinity modifiers and find that you can no longer progress, you MUST reincarnate to save the modifiers; otherwise, they will not be saved!
